An Innovative Investor is one who has taken a creative buying strategy and perfected it. Examples of strategies could include: rent-to-own, options to purchase, agreements for sale, assignments, furnished rentals, flipping distressed properties, investing out of the country, etc. This year's winners include Scott Street,Nick Derksen,, Trevis McConaghy, Keith Uthe, and Valeri Khromov.
The Top Player of the Year award is given to the investor who has embodied the critical aspects of REIN success and who is a Member that steps out of the box creating major personal breakthroughs. This Member has acquired a large number of properties during the year. This year's winners include Mitch Collins, Aaron Bellmore, Matt Yesmanski, Connie Clark, and Aaron & Christina Moore.
The Rookie of the Year award goes to the investor who has joined REIN within the last 17 months and has created a sizable and sustainable portfolio within that time. This Member has also proven to embody the REIN spirit by giving back to their community by helping others. This year's winners include Bruno Jury, Matt Yesmaniski, Renee Huse, and Tom Sullivan.
This award is given to the Member who has focused on buying and renovating properties, using their talents to transform below average properties into welcoming homes. Volume and transformation are important in this award. This year's winners include: Stephen Rathbone, Darcy Marler, and Jose Jafferji.
The Realtor® of the Year award is given to the real estate agent and/or broker who best serves REIN Members, from finding perfect investment opportunities, to bringing new buyers/tenants to clients. This award is solely determined by Member nominations. This year's winners include Randy Dyck, James Knull, Amy Witham-Strand, and Erwin Szeto.
This award is given to the individual who has gone beyond residential single-family investing and excelled in this asset class. Winners have shown an affinity for making Multi-Family investing a business and are willing to share their strategies with others.This year's winners include: Wendy Cheung, Peter Cheung, Rinco Chan, Kevin Gatchalian, Darcy Marler, and AJ Slivinski.
