Growing up in the UK countryside, Sue Ferreira describes herself as a restless soul from a young age. After attending medical school in London and beginning her career as a pediatric anesthesiologist, Sue moved to Canada in 1976 and never looked back. Having spent most of her career at the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton before moving to Victoria, Sue decided it was time to embark on her second act and begin a new life journey: entrepreneurialism.
Within the last decade, Sue began transitioning from her old life to her current one. Starting from the bottom, she had a lot of questions and uncertainties. It was in the last five years that she found her groove and really transformed herself into an entrepreneur. Sue’s business, Wisdom to Wealth Mastery, helps entrepreneurs use web and video to take their wisdom to the world and make them visible. “I saw a huge need for many entrepreneurs to move into this new world of the web and video, and I saw many who were hesitant and unwilling to do so” says Sue. She saw this as an opportunity to begin a new venture, helping others while generating income for herself in her later life. Building on her web skills, Sue’s business operates on the idea of taking entrepreneurs’ wisdom and ideas from the small real world to the infinite virtual world.
Sue believes to get where you’re going, you need to go through the process and work out who you need to become to accomplish your goals. Her ability to identify with where her clients are on their mindset journey allows her to guide them to success. Although she doesn’t exclusively work with women, challenges and circumstances that women face attract them to Sue’s business in particular because she is able to personally identify with them.
At age 71, the mother of three went from being invisible in the operating room to completely reinventing her life. She has abundant wisdom to share and lives with intention, giving her an amazing advantage with her clients. Having spent 44 years specializing in putting people to sleep, Sue is now teaching them how to wake up.
On the latest episode of The Everyday Millionaire, Sue shares her journey, from her beginnings in the UK to her years in the medical field. She discusses her firsthand experience of life’s curveballs, the turning point that led her on her path as an entrepreneur, and the importance of taking action, being courageous and getting the support you need to grow.
