2015 Leslie Cluff Memorial Player of the Year
The Top Player of the Year award is given to the investor who has embodied the critical aspects of REIN success and who is a Member that steps out of the box creating major personal breakthroughs. This Member has acquired a large number of properties during the year.
MITCH COLLINS BC
A Platinum pin award winner, Mitch first joined REIN in June 2006. Today, he boosts an impressive portfolio of over 100 properties (with 10 built in 2014 and 30 in 2015). Mitch has been involved in some very lucrative JV opportunities and has been named #1 REALTOR® in BC and #3 in Canada by Century 21 Canada (based on production). His construction company regularly realizes strong profit sharing with ROIs for his partners landing in the 30 40 percent range.
Between juggling his construction and property management companies, being a top sales agent, and spending time with his family, Mitch still makes an effort to give back to his investment community, giving 110 percent each and every time. He also regularly presents at REIN meetings in Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary.
Mitch sums it all up nicely: I’ve done several really awesome investment deals this year that would probably win ‘investment of the year’ award if there was one at the end of the day, it’s your lifestyle that matters, and the people you get to enjoy it with.
AARON BELLMORE AB North
Aaron can often be found championing the benefits of REIN membership throughout his local community of Grande Prairie. He encourage every aspiring investor that he meets to join REIN, sharing with them to not wait (like he did) to receive all the info and support accessible through REIN. He has been a proud Member of REIN for the past nine years.
Aaron is a natural motivator, and is able to bring out a confidence and belief in people that they may be having trouble harnessing themselves. He believes that consistent effort and focus can lead to a positive difference in peoples lives. He enjoys sharing what he can with those who want to learn and build a solid portfolio.
MATT YESMANSKI AB North
Matt joined REIN in February 2015 and has earned his Silver Pin award. He lives and invests in Grande Prairie (and the surrounding area). At only 29 years old, he already has a portfolio of 11 properties, all of which were acquired in 2015. In 2013, he purchased a full side-by-side duplex with a JV partner. In the fall of 2014, he purchased a four-plex and another side-by-side duplex (using the equity from the 2013 purchases). He is honored to be able to steward this JVs money and real estate decisions that will have a direct impact on their families legacy.
CONNIE CLARK AB South
When Connie first joined REIN in March 2013 she was committed to ramp up her portfolio. She was able to successfully do so using the insights and contacts available through REIN and now lives her personal Belize. Since joining, Connie has kept busy purchasing, designing, renovating, and acting as her own property manager and bookkeeper.
She now has a great network of friends that she is able to regularly bounce ideas back and forth off of. She offers support where she can to her network and also actively keeps an eye on any investment(s) that are mutually shared in common.
In 2015, Connie and her partner completed their 10th purchase since joining REIN using all their own resources with no JV partners. Today, they own 22 doors with a total of 12 titles and the land base rezoned to fully meet the objective they set out for themselves in 2013. Their latest JV, done with Connies brother, has a great cash flow and was done with no cash down from either party. Her next goal is to move on to development of their R3 lot.
AARON & CHRISTINA MOORE Ontario
Aaron & Christina have been Members of REIN since March of 2009. They are Gold Pin winners whose success is much appreciated by their fellow REIN Members.
They have volunteered for the Rapid Cash Program where they shared their experience in quick-turn real estate. Aaron & Christina have also helped several REIN Members buy properties for both long-term rentals and fix and flips. One REIN Member even made six figures of profit on one fix and flip that Aaron & Christina sourced. He did this in less than 6 months as well!
The couple has been behind many profitable flips and enjoys the repeat business they have received as a result.
