From 3 Doors to 11!

My name is Ric Fedyna. My wife and I are now the proud owners of 11 doors since joining REIN a couple of years ago. We had three and got stuck. That is when we discovered the knowledge and tools that REIN provides and helped us gain 8 more.

Our portfolio consists of one townhouse and five suited bungalows, all situated in Calgary. All of these properties have appreciated in value and are cash-flowing wonderfully. I’ve got a great team in place and a property manager that takes very good care of my tenants, property, and me. For two of these properties we did joint venture deals with our adult daughter and she is now learning how to invest in real estate herself and become a good landlord.

During the renovations of her first property, it caught fire. But, because we had the right insurance in place, we got a complete rebuild and a house that has appreciated over $150K! We took the equity that had grown within one year and used that for a down payment on a second property for her.

The fact is, we have invested very little of our own money to acquire all the investment properties we have. REIN gave me the behind the curtain insight and knowledge I needed to move forward with confidence. I now believe I have a winning strategy to get my family closer to our personal Belize.

My wife and I continue to work hard in our chosen careers. Thankfully, we both love our jobs. I’m in advertising and she has her own gymnastics club. Together we started an online business and a charity for children called Gymnastics Play-it-Forward Projects. Through this, we are able to enable children around the world to develop self-confidence and foster an atmosphere of acceptance through specialized sports and active play programs. We can conduct on-site classes as well as online sessions. If all goes well, we might even think of expanding and hiring a reputation management agency who can handle our promotion and marketing side too! However, it all does depend on how things pan out – we plan to remain optimistic nonetheless! No harm there I feel.

Also, did you know that we are planning to send a few goodies and necessary sports equipment to the participants, probably by hiring a courier company that can do same day delivery sydney and also in other locations? It might be something that might help us reach more people in the near future.

These activities, along with all our real estate investments, keep us busy and fulfilled.

Our plan is to acquire a few more properties on our own and then start to look for more joint venture partners to help expand our portfolio even further.
